Just had a conversation on our Twitter page with Guus Pemen of Eindhoven Technical University in The Netherlands. He said that very soon an A380 will be used to do a lightning test together with NLR Dutch aerospace laboratory. They want to measure gamma rays that form when lightning strikes the aircraft. Test will be done near North African coast anytime soon, on the same flight when a de-icing test is done. He didn't know the reg, but could this be MSN001's new job? Or is MSN004 more likely, as she has all kinds of sensors on the left fuselage?

MSN1 might be used too, she still has the test equipment onboard.

Second day running for MSN001 flight test www.flightradar24.com/AIB69OW. Could this be a test the de-icing test that was announced some week earlier in my post on the lightning test?

MSN001 did testflight over Eastern France, flying very regular circuits NE to SW as AIB71OW.

Just wondered: did MSN001 get the wing fix?
