There is an AF A380 flight tonight 12/09 JFK-CDG dubbed "Embargo: Vols spéciaux et défense nationale" as AF4081, hmmm.....?........

Another report today from Les Echos, saying AF will reduce A380 fleet from 12 to 10-5. Remaining aircraft will get cabin update from 2020:

A few interesting points:
-refurbishing will start by fall-2020 -by then, number of A380s will already start to decrease -2 A380s will be returned to lessors (lease ending end/2019) -Air France will eventually only keep the 5 they own -the Air France A380 is now avoided by Premium Psgr for other models (777 787 330), as it seems to be the only one with an 'old' product -45 million EUR needed to refurbish 1 A380

Seats and cabins seem to be the same problem like the engines: If the A380 only had the same generation like the modern twins it would be competitive.
