Thanks for reviving the thread peter ! So it means 747F will be UPS-exclusive line after the ABC frame? Hard to believe.
It won’t be, the LN1551 is for ABC (Volga-Dnepr is part of ABC) that already rolled out.
We’ve discussed in a different thread, there were two unidentified orders for total of four frames recorded in December 2018 as an order for 3 frames and another for 1 frame.
It is highly suspect ABC, Qatar and/or Saudi were behind those orders. ABC also have MoI for another 10 frames (I am away on business, need to check exact number when I got back).
There are 12 remaining frames on the ABC MoU. I suspect that the singleton of the December orders to be one more, since they have routinely been firming them in ones and twos.
The 3 frame order is more interesting. I was thinking it could be Silk Way, as they were talking in late 2017 about ordering two, but they never showed up. The CEO of Azerbaijan Airlines also lobbied Boeing pretty hard early in 2018 it seems, claiming that they could use up to 20 frames over the next 10 years.
I wouldn't be surprised if it is Cargolux either, as they had stated they were going to order 5 more a few years ago, but then the cargo market flattened. Since it picked back up, they have had to re-activate -400s to expand capacity.
