Could it be ready to enter that hangar?.... It just needs painting and then towing to the museum to get it out of the way

The thing is, the painting bay is on the other side of the FL, where it was last time spotted (05/01), and it seems nothing's changed on MSN2's painting since the last picture....

I don't think the speculation that MSN2 is being presented to a museum has ever been confirmed. Airbus is said to have promised to offer a test aircraft, but the MSN number is just speculation.
MSN2 must be free of any test instrumentation, that may be one reason to pick it for a gift, but on the other hand, having been re-worked in view of its sale as a flying palace, it is the most valuable test frame and the only one having a (small) chance of ever being sold to a customer.

I consider MSN001 as the most prominent A380 to go to Le Bourget one day. Aeroscopia, next to the A380 FAL, MUST get it's own A380 one day. MSN2 without engines and with limited cabin and no customer would be a comfortable candidate. But there is no rush do donate it and I agree it's a young airframe that could be marketed.

MSN 004 does not have any more work to do, being the Engine Alliance testbed !

Remains to be seen how long Airbus will need it's A380 prototypes for flight tests, modifications and such. The very first A320 got used over quite some time.

If the "neo" comes AB will need at least one of those to test various projected improvements and changes. Just remember how extensive the "pre neo" campaign was with A320 oooold test plane and how extensive the rework on that one was.
Up to that the reliable engine test bed is going to be needed for some period of time not only for the A351 but than for the A339 and A338 and maybe the neo and if the A350-1100 and who knows what else.
So I do not believe that the donation to the museum will happen anytime soon. Up to that the museum plane of this size would be probably open to inside tours i.e. the cabin is needed.
