I hope we'll have many more A380-service-to-India announcements, with some top up orders to boot ...

The fact I like most is that with the A380 they replace 2x 777 flights. So exactly the effect the A380 should bring to airports like Mumbai and Dehli where slots are rare.

According to the airline's flight schedule, SQ231 and SQ222 to Sydney has been downgauged to a 77W from the 30th of May to make room for A380 flights to India. Sydney will still be served with a daily A380 service.

These 5 frames were probably intended as a replacement for SQ's first frames. Now that a large new market is opening up, SQ may take a second look ... Should we expect a top up order ?

These 5 frames were probably intended as a replacement for SQ's first frames. For some reason, I don't think this top up order is meant to replace early frames. I believe the actual replacement orders will come post 2020 when Airbus refreshes the A380 with some sort of an upgrade.
