They don't waste much money on paint I do not think that white is less expensive than other colours.

Coloured pigments usually cost more ? And the colours usually are often applied on top of the White ?

I do not think that white is less expensive than other colours. Aren't aircraft normally painted with a white base coat first with coloured paint applied over the top? Therefore if there's more white on an aircraft, the less paint that has to be applied and therefore the aircraft will weigh less.

The base coat will be the most common colour on the frame, if that is white, than yes the base coat will be white, but if the main colour is yellow you do not paint white under it.
