After a short repair at the engine the ERJ is ready for take of. I never saw a covered walkway like that, nice! Other than that: it's the same all over the world. Two or three men doing the works, the rest standing aroung with their hands in their pockets

I flew a BA Emb 190 CY98 for the first time last week. London City to Edinburgh and back. I was impressed! Lots of seat and leg room. Appeared to climb quite fast to a max of 38 or 39k feet. A bit bumpy on the approach to Edinburgh as it was very windy but a smooth landing. Heavy braking at City due to short runway. Two cabin crew kept busy with drinks/snacks service. Shame there are no moving map screens. My plane was on a stand next a 319 at Edi so I could make a comparison. 319 a lot taller and a bit wider, so a 'small big plane' The Emb looked more like a 'large small plane'.....if you follow my logic. BA also have the 170 and both models work out of LCY on domestic and European destinations. I recommend LCY as well for speedy security/check in etc compared to LHR. My only other flight from there to date was the BA 318 'babybus' service to New York last summer.... JT
