Official designations: 190-E2 = ERJ 190-300 195-E2 = ERJ 190-400 175-E2 = ERJ 190-500 Numbers like Boeing "classic" the smallest the biggest number.... |

Official designations: 190-E2 = ERJ 190-300 195-E2 = ERJ 190-400 175-E2 = ERJ 190-500 If it is a 175 then it should be called a 175 Can not be - 175 is the Original "E 1" - how will be the E2 i.e. 190-500 called ? 195 is taken ! EDIT: Well it is obvious that there was not E1 - but logically I just called it that way in order to differentiate from the new one E2. |

There is no Embraer "E1".
The first four models are called E-Jets. The second generation is marketed as the E2.

There is no Embraer "E1". The first four models are called E-Jets. The second generation is marketed as the E2. Well, you don't need to name your first generation until you have a second one ... Boeing used the '737 classic' name only after introduction of the newer '737 NG', and the press had to coin the '737 jurassic' moniker for the first generation 737 which Boeing did not even want to talk about at all. |
