I think there was a thread at Aviation Friends Hamburg Forum lately, showing many nice pictures of the airframe, though I can't find that thread anymore........ Fabien

I just read an article about the 787 and just this analyst has no idea and is pretty sad at the lack of understanding.http://gulfbusiness.com/2013/07/is-boeings-787-dreamliner-doomed/#.Uf8QJW2YdFs But Ahmad warns that perspective is needed. “The world’s media could gain a lot from staying away from inane-headline grabbing phrases that are out of touch with the 787s amazing technological suite. “Or if the media is intent on covering every inch of the 787, they should equally talk about other jets like the A330, which in the last few months has had an equally if not greater number of serious failures including an engine explosion,” he stated An engine explosion caused by? Birds flying into it. Wow how to fix that?

Not really as they mentioned the a330 which makes it valid for this thread. I just pointing out people are using the issues the a330 has "bird strikes" which is silly.

I have noticed as again with this month that often the number of delivered planes is around 7-9 for the past 3/4 months (this month only 6 frames). Is their any problems with supply chain or etc that is holding them back from on average doing 10 frames a month? Next month from looking at first flights already completed, it is possible 10-12 frames max that could be delivered but again it could be under 10.

There are enough A330s on the flightline so it can't be related to production. I think the customers have a different delivery schedule.

Interesting considering the main thing going for the a330 compared to a 787 is its availability for quick delivery. But i can understand from a funding/operations point of view.

From my understanding, an average 10 is the production rate, they may produce 9-10 a month already, but like XWB said, according to customer's different schedule, airbus may deliver less than 10 or more.
