hello everybody! First, thank you very much to all for being here and posting interesting news about A380 and aviation and pictures and everything!! I think we need a Moderator though, to be fair I would like to know who would be interested, so please whoever is interested indicate it in a post just right here! I will then throw a poll I think in the next few days, for members to vote within the interested members! Fair? Fabien  |

Hi,
before anyone steps up for such a "job", it might be good to know what are the tasks of a moderator, like e.g. removing inappropriate or even illegal posts. For such a task it might be useful to have more than one moderator located in different timezones.

Whoever is appointed can commit only to limited hours. |

Indeed, sorry for the lack of info... The new forum is still pretty "small" yet comparing to the size of the old one at the time it closed, and spammers-free so far (let's all touch wood now), so so far I have managed being the only moderator but I guess it'd be easy/smoother/better with a Moderator. Missions of the admin staff (myself and one moderator)(or more than one later on?) could range from: -recognition and deletion of spams -check harsh language -manage posts: move them within different threads, delete (example: posts "doubled"), etc... Requirements would be minimal I guess, though including: -trustfull -basic knowledge of IT -basic knowledge of aviation -confirmed knowledge of the A380 and its production -confirmed knowledge of the forum -who can log in at least once a day (or several times a week?...) -who willingly reads all posts Preference would be someone that was already a member of the old forum. To be honest, I already have a candidate who easily fullfills all requirements and could switch to Moderator tomorrow but I thought it would be fair to ask if anyone else was interested. Fabien  |
