I think airlineroute info is wrong the 3rd should be on June 1st 2015 The Sydney flight will actually considered LHR-AUH-SYD rotation so I believe the 3rd daily should be starting from June 1 not May 1 I think confusion stays, today's post mentions again the 3rd daily LHR A380 flight on 01/05... airlineroute.net/2014/11/24/ey-789380-jan15update1/I'd take it as LHR(3) on 01/05 and SYD on 01/06?...

I guess this would translate into
.MSN166 on LHR service from 27/12 (delivery as planned this month)
.2nd LHR service now from 01/05 (delivery of MSN170EY2 now in April?)
.service to SYD maintained from 01/06 (delivery of MSN176EY3 in May?)
.3rd LHR service now from 01/08 (delivery of MSN180EY4 in July?)
(question remains, can ETD serve a double-daily to LHR + 1 daily SYD with just 3 frames?....)

(question remains, can ETD serve a double-daily to LHR + 1 daily SYD with just 3 frames?....) I dont't think this is possible. To do it, each of the three frames would have to serve 2 LHR rotations and 1 SYD rotation within 72 hours. The scheduled flight times between AUH and LHR are around 7 or 8 hrs (depending on the direction) and between AUH and SYD 14 or 15 hours. So the scheduled flight times for those 6 legs add up to about 59 hours. That would leave 13 hours for 6 Airport stops... Too tight of a schedule in any case I would say (at least the current schedule would have to be heavily adjusted as turnaround times in LHR alone are currently almost 3 hrs and the tighter schedule would leave almost no margin for any kind of delays).

Interesting... Before this twitt MSN180EY4 was supposed to help serve the 3rd daily service to LHR, on 01/08, leaving the rotation to SYD with just one frame (starting 01/06), it would make sense indeed if the SYD rotation goes to daily first... Though now, would the date stay the same as 01/08 (date where 3rd daily LHR was supposed to start)?... I would bet so, as it would have been calculated through Airbus-Etihad talks on when the 4th frame would be delivered..... (July?...)
