The lonely 777-200ER is still in use because restrictions on one airport in Pakistan. What are the restrictions?.... I have to say that I do not know, just that it saved one of the 777-200ER, A6-EMK, from retirement. The airport in question is PEW. The runway is 2,743 m, elevation is 253 m. The runway is supposed to be ICAO category 4E. I would try a guess, pavement pressure?

Another 777-200 has left Dubai for storage. Consider the age and model type I will be surprised if this not will be scrapped

I somehow do not understand this 5th freedom exclamation. 5th freedom was the basis long distance flying of legacy airlines was based upon, few frames could fly direct all the way. 5th freedom is included in most bilaterals since decades. Nothing new. 5th freedom flights are flown all over the world. What is special about Emirates doing it?
