Thanks XWB! Should we then expect the delivery around early December?... Fabien

Not sure, I assume they will do a few crew training flights first. A delivery is November is more likely.

That would be pretty quick, other new A380 operators usually do a few months crew training first.

As I understand the article the delivery for the first EY A380 should be in December 2014 and the flights to Sidney and Melbourne start at an undefined date in 2015. Where is the problem with crew training?

I don't think there is a problem with crew training. EY ordered an A380 CAE FFS last year, pilots will be ready to fly the aircraft once it is delivered.

Where is the problem with crew training? Hm, other articles claimed revenue service will start in December as well. I assume that's a mistake. I don't think there is a problem with crew training. EY ordered an A380 CAE FFS last year, pilots will be ready to fly the aircraft once it is delivered. I was referring to crew training flights like BA did.

Looking at the production list #2 can't help but notice that the Body Join (BJ) is now causing some delay, isn't it? Even the previoulsy convoyed frame EK #54 is still waiting for BJ. Guess it will be a month or so until Etihad's first frame will go into FAL1.
