- Aero clean and landing configurations, as well as settings for the air brakes, have been completed. With this, I presume that they have also configured the role of the ailerons during takeoff and landing. Like most other aircraft, the ailerons droop down when flaps are applied however, on landing, when the spoilers are deployed, the ailerons return to the neutral position. On the A340-500/600, A380 and A320 with sharklets, the ailerons act as a spoiler on landing and are in the fully up position. Does anyone know why Airbus has decided to do this and 'break the trend' of all its other recent aircraft AIB80WB 22/10/2013 by A380_TLS_A350, on Flickr
