I hope you are right, kronus, but Flightglobal only says that SQ and Airbus have signed a ten year MRO agreement covering SQ's 19 A380s. SQ is receiving 5 new frames from 2017. If SQ extended its existing lease contracts beyond 2017, its fleet would grow to 24 frames. Unfortunately, the MRO agreement suggests they aren't planning to operate more than 19.

"Revamp of First" sounds at least like they intend to keep their first in the future. If I'd be an airline I'd beef up Business Class to mini-suites and abandon First Class.

SQ's premium reputation allows them to profitably operate F class on their flagship A380s.

As more of their network moves to asian destinations and shorter flight durations some C mini suite might still be enough. However they will know best what they can sell to the market.
