Correction : A380 9V-SKB suffered a problem with the airconditioning pack that caused the aircraft te return to base early on April 19, Singapore confirmed on Twitter. She had left Singapore early in the morning as SQ322 to London, but the crew was allerted about the possible issue. On landing the aircraft alledgely suffered seven blown tyres. SQ322 was operated as SQ322D by SKE, which arrived in London almost 15 hours delayed. On April 20 SKB was in the air for a short testflight.
"The tyres are designed to deflate at certain brake temperatures to prevent a tyre burst. This is what happened in this case, as the aircraft landed at a heavier weight than normal," said a spokesman for SIA, in response to queries from The Business Times. "At no time was safety compromised, however."
I never heard about this feature before, interesting.
Very nice. I still think SQ has the best F class product out of all A380 operators. Sure, Emirates has the shower thing and all - which are also nice - but that's not where you're spending most of your time anyways...
And I like how you can choose "King" for a title, lol! And it seems they would actually greet you that way too, according to the blogger.
