Not a single MRJ-70 has been sold as of now. I wonder if a first flight will make the difference....

Not a single MRJ-70 has been sold as of now. I wonder if a first flight will make the difference.... My thoughts are - please don't shoot me down to much ! I don't need any more abuse ! I think Japan and China (And their major companies ?) are wasting to much money (for National pride / politics ?) wanting to build their OWN aircraft ? They should concentrate on building major components for Boeing, Airbus etc I would have a wager (bet) now, that neither the MRJ or COMAC planes will ever be successful, if they break even they will be very very lucky, or great accounting Like FIFA !

China thinks in the long term. Eventually, they will have a large independant aerospace industry. The cost to get there does not matter, this is not a financially-driven effort.

So if the COMAC Aircraft are sold outside of China they will have high import duties on them ? As it is a state funded project ?
