I think the work goes on at night. Fabien Are you sure ? Night work is very expensive. If they have two shifts, the factory does not work at night and, as production is far from maximum, I doubt very much they have three shifts. EDIT : as MSN 151 has set a new outfitting record, I cannot help speculating that Airbus may have just added one shift ...

There are sometimes pictures at both TLS and XFW, with all lights inside the bays on, so I guess there is still some work but can't confirm,... I'll try to ask a friend. Fabien

Night work could be overtime work, not necessarily a night shift.

www.runwaygirlnetwork.com/2014/03/30/aircraft-interiors-market-has-never-been-hotter/I took a look at this article in Runwaygirl about the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg. If you look and listen at the video it says that Hamburg is the third biggest location in the aviation industry in the world after, Seattle and Toulouse. Tiny little Finkenwerder is BIG! but there is of course also the other airport, does that sound nice, with Lufthansa Technik AG and around 300 different companies altogether.

This morning a Luftwaffe C-160 Transall is said to have landed at Finkenwerder to become a permanent member of the static aircraft collection there. They have a Hansajet, a Guppy and a Noratlas on permanent open air display inside the plant. Hard to see and hard to take pictures.

They have a Hansajet, a Guppy and a Noratlas on permanent open air display inside the plant. Hard to see and hard to take pictures. You name it! Great shot! Looks like from inside a car or bus. I was lucky to shoot on family day 2009. It was rainy. The Hansajet - see the big A380 construction and outfittung halls mirrored on the dome: The good old Super Guppy #3 This is the biggest pic I ever linked here (it's a multi row panorama reduced 50% in size). Smartphone users: do NOT click on the thumbnail! This was THE truck-bird before the Belugas arose. The space under the wings is nice when it rains May be - after finishing the rest of the old A380-MSN archive I'll show all interesting pics from that day inside the plant. Would take some days to process..
