Norwegian is slightly changing the configuration in 787-9s delivered after June 2017. Premium economy section will be increased from 35 to 44 seats, by utilizing the Whole section between door 1 and 2. At the same time economy will be reduced to 294 seats, for a total of 338 seats, Down from 344

Not sure if I buy that it is the grounding that is causing this. Their financial situation is more likely the reason given the actions with respect to the rest of the fleet planning.

feels like Norwegian won't survive this round I am struggle to see where they can get government funding. For their operation in the UK, if British government is going to take a stake in BA and/or Virgin, surely they won't support it's competitor Norwegian in the same way, especially Norwegian fails every financial measurement to be worth saving.
