Could be that those 110 are for pre-sharklet wings.. hence the 2014 Starbucks, thanks for the tip. N821JB is indeed a one-off. Produced with wings structurally ready to attach the Sharklets. The next 110 are definately for delivery from 2014. The retrofit on older A320's involves removing a "couple of metres" of the outer section of the wing and installing a replacement kit, according to Airbus. N821JB is not exactly a one of, all JetBlue A320 starting with N8 have the new wing for easy conversion. N804JB N805JB N806JB N807JB N809JB www.flightglobal.com/news/articles/jetblue-unveils-first-a320-with-sharklets-382623/It is not absolute clear about N804JB, somewhere they talk about all N8xxxx, somewhere about the last four before N821JB.

It makes me wonder: N804JB was already delivered in April 2012 and up to N809JB in October last year. When did Airbus start to deliver A320 with modified wings for easy Sharklet attachment?? And for this: not only to JetBlue....

I have to add to my previous post: First roll-out was in April 2012, certification was only obtained in December 2012

N804JB was delivered on the 16.05.2012 MSN5142 N805JB was delivered on the 08.06.2012 MSN5148
The changeover to the new wings was in summer 2012, there should be a few hundred A319/A320/A321 and also A318 bolt on retrofit able. The wing change was for all models at the same time. I can not find an exact date.

I simply can not believe Airbus would deliver "a few hundred" Single-Aisles with modified wings when they are not certified by EASA or FAA

But I read somewhere that every new MSN after the first factory fitted sharklet test aircraft (MSN5098) incorporated the necessary wing modifications for later winglet swaps. Edit: I believe it was in our old forum, lol.
