Air Lease Corporation (ALC) announced an order today for 10 777-300ERs (extended range) airplanes. Even in the present quiet period, the 777-300ER remains an unmatched cash cow! The type still has quite a few good years ahead ...

Earlier CP means to do a conversion of its fleet and
want buy only twin-engine aircrafts for civil transportation.
After 2014 CP will have the B747 only for cargo.
So CP never wanted take the whalejet, I think.
