Let's do some flying: AIB158D is in the air I have never seen this but on its way back to XFW, MSN 158 did a ver low approach at HAM on runway 23; does anyone know why ?

I have never seen this but on its way back to XFW, MSN 158 did a ver low approach at HAM on runway 23; does anyone know why ? Here is a FR24 capture of this low approach in HAM MSN 158 finally landed back in XFW and here the complete flight path including this first low approach in HAM AIB158D - 20140807 - 2 par helios91_fr on a380.boards.net, sur Flickr

Well since the low approaches are usually done in HAM, I guess there must be some sort of efficiency advantage, but I can't see it when the runways are in use that are in use today. However when a different runway in HAM is used it is possible that they don't have to do a whole 360 degrees turn again, but only about 270 degrees. But to be quite honest the reason could be anything.

Low approach has never been done at XFW, if any is done it's always been at HAM It used to be a (almost?) flight test except for the CAF but since some months it wasn't much done anymore, who knows why...
