A contact of mine who lives very close to Kemble went for the arrival of CIVB, had a long wait while the aircraft held over Brize Norton waiting for the weather to improve !
And a Video.

At least someone is extending the life of some beautiful Boeing 747, Atlas is leasing three ex-Virgin Atlantic frames through GECAS. G-VROM "Barbarella" (LN1275) was returned to GECAS via Las Vegas at the beginning of October, G-VROS "Forever Young" (LN1268) been returned yesterday also via LAS. And G-VROY "Pretty Woman" (LN1277) will join soon. All three frames will remain passenger configuration with Atlas. Looks like G-VXLG will be a BDSF converted by IAI at TLV. The last 747-400 BDSF was more than 3 years ago (HL7423)

Yeah, and also Korean Air HL7402 seems going to be converted as well. Who would've thought that we'd still be seeing 747-400 conversions in the 2020s, even when the 777-300ER conversions are on the horizon.

Will that be any demand in the future, to convert those stored 744 to cargo usage? I don't mean just the BA frames, the younger frames from Qantas, Thai Airways, Virgin Atlantic are all less than 20 years old, surely they can carry cargo for another ten years. While the production of 748F is towards the end, surely there is a need for large cargo planes bigger than 77F/77W. Me, apparently, only five months ago especially with Virgin frames
