I will be off to visit Kemble tomorrow to report on what's being done to BA GBNLZ, I hope they won't have painted over BRITISH AIRWAYS !! Otherwise it might take me a while to find it ? For sure stealthmanbob, thanks for posting! this is very interesting! I will be off to visit Kemble tomorrow to report on what's being done to BA GBNLZ, I hope they won't have painted over BRITISH AIRWAYS !! Otherwise it might take me a while to find it ? Check back tomorrow pm for my update ! just got back from Kemble, not much to report re GBNLZ, engines are off but no other sign of external salvage. I guess they may be stripping the avionics etc, will post an up to date photo later.

Is this one G-BNLN going to Cardiff for A Service or is it going to have its interior stripped and end up at Kemble We will find out in a couple of weeks if it is going to the scrapper or about 6-8 weeks if going back into service I will keep you all posted ! it did go straight over my house, and guess what Jkkw it was not cloudy and I saw it ! Quite low for A B747 in this area of the UK !

According to BA Source it's going for maintenance.

That's the problem with these old ladies, the clock is ticking, the countdown to retirement is on, will be a sad day but they seem to be having 'maintenance issues' on a regular basis now.
