This stat seems kind of ridiculous to me. Where did they get it from? To achieve that statistic, it would mean that 1 in 667 flights was not dispatched on time. There haven't been anywhere near that number of flights. Still good to hear that MSN7 will enter into commercial service tomorrow.

There haven't been anywhere near that number of flights. My thoughts too. I think there's a typo there. Perhaps it's more like 98.5%. If you run the numbers, it would be 1 flight not dispatched on time every 67. That would be more in line with the number of flights it has already performed. But still it's a great start.

It all depends on the assets you are ready to commit to a given route. If an airline has standby aircraft available (possibly of a different type), very high dispatch reliability rates are possible. They don't always tell us much, however, about the performance of the aircraft type intended for the route ...
