You are right, though from a legal point of view the orders were from Irish lessor Aircraft Purchase Fleet (APF), actually a special purpose vehicle created for the sole purpose of leasing A350s to AZ. With the order cancelletion, I doubt this company will ever do any business, though it has legal existence and might therefore be used for some other deal. One reason such a special purpose vehicle (= 'ad hoc' company) is created often is to insulate a specific deal and later sell company shares to investors, sometimes as a tax-shelter program (reducing investor risk and increasing returns). Such a financial framework may be more easy to implement than bank financing when the lessee is financially shaky or lacks cash and cannot pu down equity funding. In this case, with AZ on the verge of bankruptcy, funding was probably a challenge, making cancellation the only possible outcome. EDIT : APF's purpose is wider than I wrote - it includes leasing other types to AZ (see Baroque's next post), and that business is going on.

So we have left 350-800 - 34pcs AEROFLOT 8x ASIAN 8x AWAS 2x (for who ever that is ?) HAWAIAN 6x YEMENIA 10x (is this a serious order ? check what fleet they have now !) I just wonder who is next for change to other model. I believe some will go for 900, some will go for 330NEO (if it will come - which I do believe will !) I do believe you will now Philidor agree - to to my 3/4 year back guess - 350-800 is dead. (You strongly disagreed then)
