MSN159 went directly to XFW on the first flight. There are now 16 frames in Finkenwerder. So I assume that frames not going to XFW have a problem and because of that return to TLS rather than because of congestion in XFW. I agree - we had in the past 24 frames in XFW so there is still considerable reserve as discussed already many times before. It might be also the question of timing on delivery. It seems that AB tends to have the prolonged stays in TLS. I do believe we will have one more transfer until the end of April. But if it is 162 or 161 ?

I wouldn't think that current frames not ferrying to XFW on the FF necessarily have a problem (might or might not?), I would think that a certain new way of work on TLS' FL wouldn't have worked as planned by Airbus, the lead time between roll out and FF was lately almost divided by two (before=5 weeks+ and now only 3 weeks) so I guess some work is done differently, and I would think that maybe some things related to this new way of work would work well (MSN159 MSN157 MSN156 MSN130 and MSN152, all FF+ferryflight after just 3 weeks (only 2 for MSN152)), and some other frames things would need more look at, meaning relanding at TLS (MSN162 MSN158, all FF just 3 weeks after roll out, necessiting 2 more weeks to fill up the gap up to the usual 5 weeks) (leaving me think that MSN162 might ferry to XFW either this week or next week). I did not include MSN155, maybe there was a real issue with it, with 4 weeks before FF and needing 3 more weeks for ferry flight. Fabien

Now what?? It has only been in XFW for two weeks. Is AB going to test fly aircraft with only about 25% of the interior fitted

Is AB going to test fly aircraft with only about 25% of the interior fitted I think that this frame has never actually began outfitting, she has been on the flightline for several days since her arrival in XFW, and than IIRC had disappeared from the FL's pictures ( spotterxfw please correct me if I'm wrong), so maybe is in the air either to check something came out during transfer or because of a new AIRBUS procedure... She could have spent the last two weeks inside the paint shop as well, in this case it could be a paint-test fly!! Let's hope to find out soon, anyway. Ciao! AOIspotter

Thanks Linie 9!! This is the second time happening, first time was MSN144-BA4 that had a flight test check unpainted, 3.5 weeks after arrival at XFW... Fabien
