May be the Airbus Group convert the passenger aircraft A300 and also A310 into freighters at EFW Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH a centre of freighter aircraft conversion. A lot of the yellow DHL freighters are converted A300. Would be amazing if Airbus could find new homes for its oldest jets. The A300 is dying breed.

There are many ways to come to a financial agreement. Any price paid by Airbus to trade in A300s is window-dressing for a discount on A320 NEOs.

I do believe it is tough - even the CARGO modification. The plane is heavy and guzzling gas even more than 757 and here is a lot of those for modification so .

Both Boeing and Airbus buy aircraft back from time to time. Boeing once bought A340s from its customer in exchange for 777s.

Trading in old aircraft is part of aircraft deals, just as it is with car purchases. Even if your car is not rated anymore, the dealer will buy it if you purchase a new car.

Indeed. Airbus also bought A340-500s back from SQ as part of the A350 deal.

Yes - sure that is "scraping". You get of course considerably less than for the whole plane..... But realistically it is going to be something like that and that what said Philidor. Maybe some of the birds will be modified, but how many is a question.

Does anyone know if Airbus has set a target for 2014 orders?

Does anyone know if Airbus has set a target for 2014 orders? I believe all that was said was a book to bill ratio greater than one which would mean greater than 600 aircraft.
