Maybe they will, however they didn't seem to keen to do that at the last IAG AGM. More A350/787/777X seemed to be more likely. They may change their mind now they've had more experience operating the aircraft and gauged the reaction of their customers so it's a possibility.

I think it a bit strange this argument with the options. IMO an airline does not place an option without thinking about exercising it. An option does cost some money, if you have definitely decided to not exercise it you do not keep the option, if they wanted to use the option to get other Airbus frames to better condition why are the options still there? As long an airline keeps options to buy certain frames, it is an indication for me that the want more some time in the future.
