Qatar say they have grounded 13 A350 of their fleet. Qatar CAA seems to have ordered this over the dispute.

Whatever it is it should be repairable. So repair it, bring them back into service and then enjoy the debate who's insurance has to pay for it.
Strange that only Qatar has the problem. Could it be some excessive heat damage when they park on the ground in the desert for extended periods of time? That would be interesting for the rest of the industry.
Has any other type of aircraft ever been known to suffer from similar damage or wear?

I thought the Qatar A350s were still "grounded" ? The grounding only concerns less than half their A350-fleet

Wow, that's concerning indeed. Now I understand Al Baker.
Could this be the "green" water based paint again?

The Airbus side: Airbus resorts to legal steps to resolve Qatar A350 skin-paint dispute 9 December 2021 www.flightglobal.com/air-transport/airbus-resorts-to-legal-steps-to-resolve-qatar-a350-skin-paint-dispute/146788.articleAirbus is to take legal steps in a bid to resolve a dispute over the surface paint quality on A350 twinjets, having been unable to settle the matter with Qatar Airways. Qatar Airways has been notably vocal about the issue of paint degradation on its A350 fleet, even taking steps to withdraw affected A350s from service, citing orders from the Qatari civil aviation regulator.
