Given the enormous overwhelming quality problems one might start to think it is wise to avoid Qatar Airways altogether 😃 I respectfully disagree. Anoying as it may seem to be, they keep everybody in the business awake. The last thing I want to board is an aircraft which was delivered on terms like: "Does it fly? - Today? Yeah! - OK, I'll take it"

When I see that all other deliveries to all other customers are going pretty well now and that only one customer continuously delays deliveries, I start wondering who is right and who is wrong...

Agreed, still don't understand why Airbus continues to select Qatar as a launch customer? A320neo another example!

Agreed, still don't understand why Airbus continues to select Qatar as a launch customer? A320neo another example! Why did Airbus select QR as the A320neo launch customer? Well, there was a bit of drama over it at the 2011 Dubai Airshow when QR announced the order. www.reuters.com/article/us-airshow-dubai-idUSTRE7AA2PY20111116

Up to that - if true - the problem on one of the previous planes was the carpet ! Is it so important for the safety that there is a small wrinkle somewhere ?
You do believe that all those other airlines do not care about security ?
Do you believe that LH would be flying 4x rounds a day with a couple of planes not safe ? A plane which is not good enough to be accepted even 9 month later and well over dozen deliveries - all operating flawlessly ?
And we can continue.....
I am pretty sure that the issue is not safety. If it would have been we would have heard for SURE !

We were writing in parallel with jkkw....
From reuters article.... I than do not understand why they walked away from the first neo delivery if it was so important for them to be the launch customer ? What sense does that make ?

A major negotiation may span several years, include about-faces and missed opportunities, yet yield an agreement over a busy week-end. Some players are quiet, others are vocal, it does not really matter.
Only someone involved could provide an insight, others are just guessing.

Back to topic of the thread, 6th flight, another CAF. www.flightradar24.com/AIB06GB/b0cc43bBTW: Could we clean this thread and move the discussion to maybe QR A350. It is not special MSN33 related, to have the same discussion on every QR MSNx thread is of course not useful.
