I remember waiting for an ABC 747-8F at AMS two years ago. It was -10°C and my toes were frozen to the ground. The departure was delayed by 2 hours, making a bad situation even worse. My current status as a spotter: Dry and sunny weather, a minimum of 18 degrees Celsius, no more than 1/2 mile walking distance..... I leave less favorable conditions to the younger spotters to chase their dreams (and I'll check out the results on the internet)
