This has been mentioned as in use on several pre delivery test flights. Would someone kindly advise where on the plane it is located and point me to a picture where it can be spotted in use. Many thanks, JT

The RAT is housed in here under the left wing closest to the body

Here the RAT is engaged (as always at the end of ferry- and CFFs) There are better pics but they aren't tagged as such

Did the BA frame use the last of the underwing white paint?
Frame eems to be in white primer - CTL?
OK - I give in. The MSN is still visible. Presumably the fuselage is green, but still appears white in the pictures

What are the two little panels just aft of the leading edges and in line with the red circle, they appear to be open? Welcome to the forum MadMacs! I was curious as to what they were myself, so I looked it up. They are Ram Air Outlet Doors. The opening you see on belly fairing just in front of the wing root are the Ram Air Inlets. These two function to modulate the amount of airflow being used for the heat exchange process by the Air Conditioning packs in the wing root. www.scribd.com/doc/35240967/003-CHAP-21-Air-Conditioning See page 99. I've typically seen them open during takeoffs, so presumably it has got something to do with getting rid of as much heat as possible off the bleed air during the takeoff phase when the engines are working at full power. But I'm not too sure though so don't quote me on this bit. Edit: They seem to be open even during landings. So, scratch that.
