How many 'white-tail' A380s have been there before? MSN005-SQ Tail was plain blue, MSN007-EK Tail was in half Airbus-colours when rerolled out (TLS), MSN009-EK Tail was brownish when rerolled out (TLS), MSN012-SQ Tail was originally brown and painted in SQ colours before roll out (TLS), MSN015-QF green fuselage is in fact brown, all Tails of MSN015-QF, MSN022-QF and MSN027-QF were white indeed, MSN016-EK green fuselage is in fact brown, MSN025-EK with probe, MSN026-QF green fuselage is in fact brown, MSN029-QF Tail was brown and white, all Tails of MSN033-AF MSN040-AF and MSN043-AF in old AF livery until OF, MSN044-LH Tail was in LH colours with the lower part of the rudder in white, MSN047-QF Tail was in QF colours, and the Tail turned all brown waiting on the FL at XFW for painting, MSN050-QF Tail all white, MSN051-SQ Tail was brown and white (exactly the same as MSN029), all Tails of MSN078-MH MSN081-MH and MSN084-MH in old MH livery until OF, MSN098-EK with probe, MSN116-EK with probe, MSN147-EK with probe, MSN162-BC green fuselage then applied brown coat for long-term storage, MSN166-EY Tail was white, MSN205-EK with probe MSN228-EK with probe ....to be continued..... Normally a 'White Tail' implies the aircraft doesn't have an owner, in this case MSN166 does.

Yes, MSN 166 is not a white tail, it is a concealed EY tail.

I don't think any A380 was built without any owner, we'd just have to find the reason why so many QF tails were unpainted... Fabien

I don't think any A380 was built without any owner, we'd just have to find the reason why so many QF tails were unpainted... Fabien Without looking at the times of convoy, I would believe the reason is the change in livery. Some of the early frames had the old tail before they had to be repainted.
