It looks like the capacity of the 789 isn't all too different from the 333. I only say this as I found out the 789 will be making an appearance in my area on the 11th and 13th of June respectively. I certainly wouldn't mind if the 789 becomes a regular sight here. airlineroute.net/2015/03/23/vs-dtw-jun15/

Virgins newest B787 G-VWHO seems to have done one commercial service to Delhi and back and then just UK based training flights since delivery at the beginning of July. Also there is a new behind the scenes TV documentary series about Virgin Atlantic starting tonight on ITV at 9pm UK time.

The ITV TV documentary last night on Virgin, was quite good a fair amount about production of their first 787. Also a lot about choosing the interior fittings and also the The choose / design and testing of their bespoke Zodiac seats. Well worth a watch if you can find it ?
I think there are two more episodes to come as the first finished before delivery of the first B787?

From - nyc787.blogspot.co.uk/Virgin 787-9 hit by engine fire during ground test To follow up something I mentioned in my last post regarding ZB036 (LN 377, G-VDIA) a 787-9 that was supposed to be delivered to Virgin Atlantic last month. For the past few weeks it had been inside building 88-30 undergoing repairs to the wing in an area near the engine. Apparently the wing was damaged by an engine fire while the engine was running during a test on the flightline at Charleston. I don't have details about what started the fire, the extent of the damage or any NTSB/FAA investigation, if any. It is unknown when the aircraft will complete repairs and delivered to Virgin.
