The B788 is stubby-looking. But I think AA's tail livery really accentuates it.
Same with their A319s. They're almost like A318s to me.

It is true - their livery makes optically all their planes looking shorter - even 738 and 752. Why is that - one would not guess looking at it.

Why is that - one would not guess looking at it. I think I see why. The way the stripes are painted around the rear fuselage, it gives me the misleading impression that the tail fin is larger than it really is.
