Wonderful news! I commend ESA for not giving up on the little fella. I hope we can get more science and pictures out of it.

A historic day today folks. Pluto is no longer a dark underworld to mankind. It turns out to have a big heart. New Horizons has promised us more pictures and stuff in the coming days. Let's hope all data are captured as planned and the mission is declared a success. Follow the latest on the mission here.

Pretty big news in the science world. Probably the biggest for this year I would say. Einstein's gravitational waves detected.Exciting astronomical discoveries await in the years ahead. I, for one, am very happy to be alive in a post-Einstein era of science. He is one of the most important people to have walked on this planet. Press conference with more information and "sounds" of the waves can be found in this press conference.
