Did you know why some Tail-Fin are painted before entered S40 (Finnair) and some other (Qatar and Vietnam Airlines) are painted together with the plane?

I think I read somewhere that QR didn't want people to see a painted tail before their first aircraft was painted. As for VN, perhaps they had yet to finalise their new livery by the time their first aircraft entered the FAL. I believe all tails on the Airbus test fleet were painted before the aircraft entered the FAL. |

I think I read somewhere that QR didn't want people to see a painted tail before their first aircraft was painted. I would have made an exception if it was a revised or updated tail, but...  |

The tail photos look insanely sharp.
Considering that it was at P18 about a month ago, I would imagine it would be a matter of weeks until we hear of it going into paint?
