Is there a way to decode the Hex codes? You can use a hex converter web site. anyway 3893db only gives you the unique aircraft number of 3707867. And 3893FB equates to 3707899. I believe that each aircraft is assigned a hex code for its life time, BUT aircraft mfgs (well AB at least) have hex numbers assigned to their test registrations numbers that then get re used.

HEX is part of registration of an aircraft. For french Airbus test reg there seems to be just 20 difference if the last letter is changed by one. So you can try to the algorythmn. FR24 update it per hand (like other databases). I do not know their sources, but you can send them new regs(+aircraft data) in one their forum sections. The connection reg-hex is never changed, even if aircraft changes as Airbus reuse the test regs. Thats why FR24 knows all the new A380, A320, A330, but not new A350 regs. Same reason why new AC on delivery show only hex and call sign.

I think this is just power-on. Engine run would be ER1.
