Thank you, XWB, that's important information about A380 door retrofits.
The only point left in doubt is the treatment of new airframes. We have seen frames convoyed without doors but we don't know exactly what's being done.

Thanks XWB! I'd understand that new frames delivered these weeks, coming from OF out, haven't received the door-rework yet, MSN164EK for example... Others waiting for roll out (MSN160QR MSN168EK MSN169EK etc...) might be waiting for the door-rework which would confirm why the roll outs haven't occured yet... =>confirming an implied reduction of frames delivered this year?... we'll see.. (only 7 full weeks until the end of the year (including Chrismas' break)...)...

The first new doors should have been installed already (MSN 175 & 177).

New frames are receiving the new doors already, we saw them arriving in TLS without doors (MSN 175, 177 etc) and leaving the FAL with doors.
Al Baker himself confirmed that the 4th A380 will be the first one with the new doors. So yes, MSN160 is having new doors installed right now (I don't think it's waiting, new doors for new build frames are available).

Interesting roll out of MSN169 today, with only 14 weeks...
Fastest OF time for EK frames so far was 12 weeks, it'd mean that most likely doors are repaired on this frame, and that it still took 2 weeks, same time that it takes apparently at TLS...
Also might mean that door-repair is not done at the same time as OF...
Any thoughts?..

As was the case with wing fixes, we don't know the exact process. We can only speculate ... And hope that production goals can still be met.

EK's A6-EDZ will ferry DXB-AUH tomorrow for door modifications. Expected to take just over a week.

Expected to take just over a week. Just a week, seems to me the work will be combined with regular maintenance.
