When a convoy frame is confirmed, you can announce the initial registration. Is the source MSNxxx = registration or next frame = registration or what? I just wonder if the source indicates sequence, so somebody actually knows the Airbus convoy sequence in advance. One assumes that Airbus don't just pull a number out of a hat for the next frame

I don't think anyone knows how Airbus chooses the frames' registrations... sometimes they come in sequence, rarely though, most of the time not, sometimes they come in sequence within a certain airline but rarely though as well, most of the time not,... Registrations apparently are announced with MSNs in the ATDB database, which we did not have in the past... that's how we can know the registrations before the frames are rolled out...

I anticipated the 'randomness' re the actual registrations, but you have confirmed, if I read it correctly, that MSNs are allocated the 'next' registration when they appear.

I wouldn't bet on this noistar, MSN apparitions are scarce (we don't need too many of them anyways....just a few at a time) so we might not know when exactly MSNs are revealed, and in which order...... unless you found a way to check on them (MSN+registrations)?... I had set a post with the MSNs and registrations but haven't looked into it too much yet in regards of following registrations... a380.boards.net/post/24620/thread

I would expect a MSN number to be given when orders to build the parts are sent to the suppliers. The number must be a necessary common reference.

The situation with convoy betting is ridiculous - we are betting on next 2 convoys without knowing what was shipped.
I do believe that if we are not able to know what was on the convoy before the next one to:
CANCEL the whole convoy betting game.
What do you think ?

We will still find out what MSN was on what convoy as and when they roll out ?
