How much development can airbus do at the same time? Now they have, probably, weight reductions on A350, developing A350-1000, A320 neo and A330 neo. Will they be ready for A380 neo?

The EASA will most likely clear the A350 for ETOPS 180 operations. Airbus will demonstrate ETOPS 420 but it might take awhile before being approved.

... And, as ETOPS 420 would be a first, regulators might be reluctant to make that additional step ...

ETOPS 420 pretty much means unrestricted routing and is necessary for transpolar flights. For everything else, 330 works. So we have here a plane that may be truly capable of taking the most efficient route between any two points.
