I'm throwing something else in: netAirspace.com No, because I just want picture hosting after uploading the right links to link and no hully gully around. I would pay but that would only reduce the advertising.

I just want a host for my pictures. Nothing around. I found two. Tests follow.

Why wouldn't flickr do?... or how about airliners.net?... Airliners.net would not be feasible, their screening standards are very high (I'm sure many of linie9's photos would make it though) and the time it takes to screen a photo is around 10 days. Also, images are size restricted.

Also, images are size restricted. I think many of Linie 9's pics would go through unfortunately. A.net has very strict rules and especially trees are a no-go for them and they rather have the parallel side-shot than the artistic shot where someone actually tries something new for once. The most artistic database is probably airplane-pictures.net, but some like it some don't. I personally don't like screening because the rules are very strict and sometimes as I think a bit too much and it very much depends on the screener you get. I once uploaded a pic to A.net. The first time it was rejected because of wrong wording, but after consulting another screener I know from Hamburg he said that was perfectly fine, I tried it another time and it was now rejected for quality reasons by another screener the first screener didn't care about.

Bringing this topic up again as flickr has announced changes that'll limit the amount of photos per free account to 1000 photos (unlimited storage remains for pro accounts which I'm not yet willing to pay for ) . So with that, does anyone know of any good free alternatives?
