I often see empty posts.
Now I tried quoting an empty post, and found a link there.
Why is the post empty when directly seen?

I often see empty posts. Now I tried quoting an empty post, and found a link there. Why is the post empty when directly seen? If you have a slow internet connection at the time you are looking on the Board you will sometimes see a post with nothing in it, if you wait a few minutes the link / picture / Twitter post(s) will appear eventually  PS some times it can be down to Flickr or Twitter or tinyPics servers being slow at that time. It happens to me daily at work because twitter, youtube, flickr and other social media are blocked by our network. So in addition to what XWB said, this maybe another reason. So if one of the post has a link to one of the social media, the post will show as empty. |

Oh that ruined my day, I did not know what to do with myself If and when Twitter is down, you'll get an empty post on this board (unless it has been cached). |

I have never seen an empty post ?
There is very few links to twitter but there might not be the photo, you will still see some text !

I have a 24/7 high-speed glass-fiber connection and I got blank posts also I did not mean you always have a "slow internet connection" I said if at that time you were looking on the board ! If your service provider has a few technical issues in your area, eg a cabinet has gone down or one fibre link has been dug thru, or some of their routers have gone down or they are under a denial of service attack, your internet connection can slow down as they reroute your connection. You can have the best glass-fibre connection in the world but it does have to go thru lots of other bits of hardware that can slow it down ! |
