I think I waited long enough, until my main carrier Virgin Atlantic took delivery of 789s and replaced 346s on most of the routes that I fly.
I did wonder the battery problem, and still hear a bit of them. But I wasn't going to drop an entire airline that I fly with for 15 years, because of the introduction of a new aircraft type. Especially in my opinion, Virgin's Upper Class (Premium Business) and Premium Economy bed/seat and ground service are better than any competitor by far, especially if you take fare price into consideration.
So far I've done over 10 flights with 789s, got used to it now. But I have to say, 789 is nice (especially my nose don't feel that dry after 12 hours fly, so the humidity claim is true), I still miss the 346. So far, the air condition in 789 never cold enough for me, especially on the ground, and that reminds me the battery problem every single time.
