Any idea which might be the 50th airport to receive regular A380 service and if it might happen as soon as next year?
The total at the beginning of 2015 should be 44 as follows (please correct me if I am wrong).
9 in North America: LAX, SFO, DFW, IAH, ATL, MIA, IAD, JFK, YYZ
11 in Europe: MAN, LHR, LGW, AMS, CDG, BCN, FRA, MUC, ZRH, MXP, FCO
5 in the Gulf Region: KWI, DOH, AUH, DXB, JED
1 in Africa: JNB
1 in the Indian Ocean: MRU
13 in Southern and Southeastern Asia: DEL, BOM, KUL, SIN, BKK, HKG, CAN, SZX, PEK, PVG, ICN, NRT, KIX
4 in Australia/Oceania: BNE, SYD, MEL, AKL
Among potential Airports there are several ones which apparently are not ready yet but might see the A380 as soon as they are:
PER (was announced several times before), GRU, ORD (might still take some time), perhaps even HND?
Others are probably ready and could be in line as soon as EK receives more frames: MAD, HYD, BLR, perhaps BHX, DUS or HAM?
Then there are those which already HAD regular A380 service and might some day return (IMO DME definitely will): YUL, DME and KMG (though
this site lists KMG still as a current destination)
