Unlike MSN 40, this one has a radome.

Unlike MSN 40, this one has a radome. Msn 40 is leased from AerCap. Perhaps 43 is ET direct order?

Maybe. But the CX A350s from AerCap also feature a radome.

I'm a bit confused about the radome, can you guys educate me. Were the early frames without radomes? If so why?

I'm a bit confused about the radome, can you guys educate me. Were the early frames without radomes? If so why? It's the white bump that can be seen at the top of the fuselage between the 3rd and 4th set of doors and it is one way of providing wifi to the aircraft. It can be seen quite clearly in the pictures of the following tweet. A radome of such a nature was first fitted on MSN2 although for some airlines some of their earlier aircraft did not have them.

I am surprised that it is such a big thing sticking out from the fuselage. It must have significant drag....

It must have significant drag.... If it does no airline will fit it on their aircraft.
