The 2 official customers Avianca and Frontier for the A319neo have ordered CFMs for A320neo, so I think the move is not strange or surprising. Was MSN 6620 anytime spotted so far?

The engine will be replaced by LEAP-1A later. Why should a LEAP replaced by a LEAP??? MSN 6464 was planned acc. different to be an -171N P&W GTF. If you look on the picture it is obviously not. Beside the big letters "LEAP" on the nacelle, you can see the not shiny core outlet which indentifies it as a LEAP and not a GTF. Sorry my typo

So the A319neo frame, that was supposed to be the test frame for the GTF version, is used to test the LEAP version.
The question is now, is the GTF A319neo cancelled or will perhaps this frame be changed later to GTF.
MSN6620 could become the first customer frame.

Those huge engines on it makes it look shorter, almost like an A318!

Those huge engines on it makes it look shorter, almost like an A318! I guess Airbus will not produce an A318neo because of those huge engines: you would never be able to find the aircraft itself in between
