The first 2013 rumoured A380 order was a top-off order from Lufthansa for two (?) aircraft.
The airline was said to be negociating with both Airbus and Boeing for the purchase of 108 aircraft (100 narrowbodies, 8 widebodies). Flightglobal.com wrote the widebody order would be split between 6 777-300 and 2 A380s, but this information seems to have been deleted from their website.
Airbus' 2013 forecast is 25 orders ... Speculation for announcements at Le Bourget airshow in June should grow as usual.

Would the new buyer of 002 be another "new order"?

LH's top off order for two A380s should not be underestimated.
Firstly, the first 2013 whalejet order deserves to be celebrated, even if it is a small number, and even though the target of 25 sales this year is still challenging.
Secondly, this is LH's second top off order, which shows a high degree of customer satisfaction. Previously, EK and SQ had shown the same degree of satisfaction, with a third order.
This is a major A380 sales point : airlines and passengers like it!
