It is always going to be of a concern for Airbus or even Boeing when their suppliers consolidate. It reduces their bargaining power to drive down prices for their supplies.

In some ways airplane manufacturers force it this way. Suppliers have had to take a lot of production demands and flexibility with increasingly tough price negotiations on the other hand.

In this case, Airbus' concern seems to be different. The new owner is focused on short term, while aircraft production is a long-term business.
